We have an opening for a full-time Application Developer to join our talented, dynamic team in support of a large Federal Government customer.

The Application Developer will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 

The ideal candidate is a passionate and skilled developer with a strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices. 

As an Application Developer supporting Maveris programs, you will work with our customers to translate their requirements into new and existing applications and ensure those applications are maintained, secure, and optimally serve the end user. In this role, a typical day will include: 

  • Understand what the client/product owner is trying to accomplish and make the best recommendations for how to get there 
  • Work with developers and systems administrators to build, test, and deploy new applications or add features to existing applications 
  • Work with the offensive cyber team to interpret requirements and  
  • Work with cross-functional teams such as network, database, and storage to ensure all needs of the application are being met 
  • Assist with the resolution of application issues, problems, and bugs 
  • Assist with keeping detailed records and inventory of all configuration components 
  • Assist with capturing and presenting metrics and key performance indicators 
  • Assist with the securing of applications to include meeting all required security controls and producing supporting documentation related to security Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities. 
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily Scrum, sprint planning, sprint review, sprint retrospective, and Scrum of Scrums 

Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in technology-related field - equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree 
    • 5+ years of experience with engineering and delivery of business applications.  
    • Experience with engineering applications hosted in cloud environments such as AWS and Azure 
    • Experience with .NET Core, Javascript, implementing secure API endpoints, and experience with Javascript MVC front-end frameworks such as Vue, Angular or React or similar. 
    • Experience with programming languages such as ASP.net, C#, Entity Framework, SQL Server/TSQL, and XML 
    • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, Microsoft PowerApps, and PowerBI, IIS, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services and SQL Server Data Tools for Visual Studio 
    • Experience with Visual Studio and Git Workflows 
    • Understanding of DevSecOps concepts, practices, and tools (Jira, Github, etc.) 
    • Experience working with Agile-based teams using frameworks such as Scrum and SAFe is a plus 
    • Previous experience with Docker/Containerization is considered a plus. 
    • Previous experience with the Blazor framework for building web applications with C# and .NET is a plus. 
    • Technical certifications from Microsoft and AWS are preferred 
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills 
    • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills 
    • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills 
    • Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team of peers
