Job Summary

NetApp is searching for a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) focusing on ONTAP security to join us in our mission to further strengthen our position as the most secure Intelligent Data Infrastructure company.  The candidate will own the creation and dissemination of technical go-to-market collateral aimed at new and existing NetApp customers, NetApp internal technical teams, and NetApp sales partners. The role requires partnering with product management and engineering, to assist with the definition of security focused ONTAP features. This will require maintaining a technical understanding of security technologies (Identity and Access Management (IAM),  privacy controls, encryption, auditing/logging, certifications & compliance/GRC, etc.), security standards, and how they are applied to protect data in a hybrid cloud environment. Additionally, the candidate will work closely with third-party vendors and products (e.g. SAML IdP, key management, endpoint protection, SIEM’s, PAM, etc.) as required to achieve NetApp’s goals regarding ONTAP integration, and best practices.  As a domain expert in security, the candidate will frequently meet with customers and go to market partners to represent NetApp’s security capabilities as well as working closely with teams across NetApp to define and communicate security laden marketing messages, positioning, and key customer value differentiators. In addition, the candidate will engage in customer briefings, including executive briefings, and trade shows including NetApp Insight.
