Create new opportunities for national security service by building models of service that account for generational and cultural differences between the military, academic, and venture communities and providing flexible pathways to official service within the DoD.Interagency Intelligence and Cyber Operations (ICON)  The Next Generation Interagency Intelligence and Cyber Operations (ICON) task intends to address the ongoing need to deliver new and expedient capabilities to the intelligence and DoD’s network of cyberoperations stakeholders. Continuation of support under the COCOM Cyber Mission Support (CCMS) task order. The multi-tenant, project-based procurement sponsored by NSIN to support its Mission Partner network with implementing cyber solutions across various DoD and Intel programs.  This is a unique opportunity to work across the cyberspace operations community supporting NSIN’s Mission Partners, such as, United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) and the Cyber Mission Forces (CMF); Geographic and functional COCOMs; Joint Task Forces (JTF); Service cyberspace components (e.g., Marine Forces Cyber Command (MARFORCYBERCOM) and U.S. Fleet Cyber Command (FCC); DoD component services and agencies; Intelligence agencies.; Homeland Security operational components Partners.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES·       Senior position that works to provide strategic guidance and tactical implementation to fortify the organization's elite cyber defense capabilities.     ·       Designing, implementing, and sustaining security operations, as well as collaborating with internal and external hunt groups.  ·       Provide strategic direction and tactical guidance to cyber hunters and leadership based on up-to-date threat intelligence and trends, coordinating hunt activities with different internal and external teams to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive approach.   ·       Investigate, respond to, and neutralize advanced persistent threats (APTs) that may pose a significant risk to the organization's networks.   ·       Upon analysis of network and host activity, the analyst will identify both successful and unsuccessful intrusions carried out by advanced adversaries.   ·       To counter dynamic threats, the analyst will develop and implement custom signatures, using the latest threat information obtained from multiple sources to proactively mitigate risks.     ·       Conduct malware analysis to create custom signatures based on samples obtained during investigations or hunts.  ·       Produce comprehensive reports that maintain situational awareness, track trends, and provide valuable insights into all relevant activities and incidents.  ·       Identify intrusion campaigns, threat actors, and nation-state organizations, allowing them to piece together the tactics and motives behind these sophisticated attacks.     ·       Actively manage and share intelligence on APT adversary groups and collaborate with the intelligence community to coordinate and exchange information regarding possible security incidents.   ·       Continuously monitor the current security threat level by analyzing internet postings, intelligence reports, and related documents.   ·       Oversee and mentor subordinate staff, providing guidance and support as they carry out their duties within the project and ICON Innovation Collaborative (IIC) teams.

WORKING CONDITIONS Environmental Conditions·       Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.Strength Demands·       Sedentary – 10 lbs.
