Daily challenges

• Maintenance and support of variety of Security equipment – such as Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention System/Intrusion Detection System, Proxy, Web Application Firewalls. Prevent Incidents or resolve them when they occur
• Do troubleshooting and implementation of solution in conjunction with vendor and third-party support
• Dealing with different type of VPN solutions and configurations
• Implement changes within the applicable technology platform
• Provide technical support, including monitoring, reporting and security software administration
• Work on 24/7 coverage rotation shift/On-call duty shifts

eXperience and skills required

• High school diploma preferably in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Computer Engineering
• At least 2 years of IT experience, ideally in support of Network/Network Security environments
• Network knowledge - OSI Reference Model, TCP/IP protocols, IP Addressing, IPv4 Address Types, Variable Length Subnet Masks (VLSMs) and subletting, Network Address Translation (NAT), VPN
• Experience with Firewall technology (Checkpoint, Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, Palo Alto, Barracuda)
• Understanding and adherence to the ITIL framework (Change Management, etc.)
• Fluent verbal and written English

What we will consider as an advantage:

• Experience with IPS/IDS technology, Proxy (Bluecoat or other proxy vendor), Load Balancers ASM modules (F5 or other similar vendors.)
• Verbal and written German Language
