Job Description

In this role you will be responsible for monitoring and proactively improve IT security across the UK business. To strive to continually improve our IT security posture. You will be also maintaining current security systems to ensure technical recommendations are recorded and actioned quickly to minimise security risks and vulnerabilities across the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor security alerts and respond to potential security incidents.
  • Maintain internal vulnerability management systems.
  • Work closely with the wider IT Operations team to advise and support remediation efforts to minimise vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain and update client and server EDR systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents.
  • Report monthly security controls reporting to Valeo group.
  • Prioritise personal workloads through effective time management.
  • Aid in project delivery and new security system implementations.
  • Maintain technical documentation.
  • Follow training & instruction in order to protect self and others, authorised to challenge unsafe behaviour. Will report safety concerns immediately and where possible take action to reduce risk of harm, engage in safety conversations and be involved in safety walks to build a safety culture.

Qualifications

Experience and Skills required:

  • Minimum 3 years information security experience or proven experience of IT system administration with security.
  • Experience in incidence response and systems monitoring and analysis.
  • Development of close working relationships with office and remote staff.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical experience security patching Microsoft servers and clients
  • Experience working with client and server EDR anti-virus systems
  • Working knowledge of security principles (AV, email security, firewalls)
  • Microsoft 365 (general with focus on security and compliance, Defender)
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
