Security operations team is responsible for ensuring that the Confidentiality, Integrity, and availability of the organization is not impacted. In this role, individual is expected to develop and maintain a robust SIEM infrastructure, PAM, Alert monitoring, and Incident Management. The monitoring of the known and unknown threats is directly proportional to the strength of the SIEM monitoring system. The individual is expected to review and monitor different monitoring alarms and provide recommendations for adequate monitoring and response. The individual is also expected to carry out Cyber Investigations and assess use of analytics for threat assessments. Extensive interfacing with MSP and stakeholders across IT and Business is expected to gather information, perform gap assessments, and streamline activities as and when required. Individual is expected to have experience in managing external and internal audits and ensure adherence to client and regulatory requirements in line with organizational policies. The individual is also expected to good knowledge in Cloud Security (AWS)
JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement comprehensive cloud security strategies that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Design and maintain secure cloud architectures. Ensure the integration of security controls and practices in cloud deployments.
- Lead incident response efforts for cloud security incidents. Investigate security breaches, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) policies and practices. Ensure proper authentication and authorization mechanisms are in place.
- Implement continuous monitoring of cloud environments for security threats and anomalies. Generate regular security reports and metrics for management.
- Work closely with IT and development teams to ensure security is integrated into the cloud lifecycle. Provide security guidance and support for cloud projects
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g. CCSP) are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in cloud security or a related field. Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud) is required.
- Experience: with security tools such as Firewalls, Cloud Security Posture Management, WAF, DDOS and SIEM.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud security technologies and best practices. Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks effectively.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying current with industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in cloud security.
WORK SCHEDULE OR TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
2 PM to 11 PM / 5 PM to 2 AM. No travel.
