HII Mission Technologies is currently seeking a highly skilled Industrial Security Analyst 4 for our HII Nuclear, Maritime Operations Team at Newport News Shipbuilding in Newport News, VA.
As part of the HII Nuclear Maritime Operations group, our professionals have access to a rare and unique professional development program that is intended to prepare our employees for life-long success with our HII affiliates supporting different Department of Energy sites and contracts around the country.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of classified and unclassified systems and facilities, maintaining compliance with applicable security regulations, and providing guidance to teams and stakeholders on security best practices. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of industrial security programs, including federal regulations, and will serve as a subject matter expert on a range of security operations.
What You Will Do
- Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, sale of counterfeit products, documents, and equipment.
- Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations and organization reputation.
- Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies.
- Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting staff and visitors access to restricted records and materials.
- Conducts security education classes and security audits.
- Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
What You Must Have
- 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
- Candidate must have in-depth knowledge of industrial security policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Candidate must have Naval Nuclear Propulsion experience.
- Candidate must have experience working with confidential information.
- Candidate must demonstrate experience in security program management, risk assessments, and physical security operations.
- Candidate must have strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior leadership, government representatives, and employees.
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Bonus Points For Having!
- Security plus certification or similar security - related certifications.
- Experience with security clearance processing and adjudication.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and familiarity with security controls for IT systems.
- Prior experience working in a defense contractor environment or with federal agencies.
