Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud system engineering, security best practices, and DevSecOps principles. This role will focus on ensuring the security and reliability of our cloud infrastructure while leveraging automation tools and techniques.

Overall Responsibilities:

• Design and implement security measures for cloud infrastructure to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline using automation tools.
• Monitor cloud environments for security threats and vulnerabilities, implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Create and maintain logging and monitoring solutions using AWS services like CloudWatch, AWS Config, and AWS Security Hub.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AWS native security tools and develop new security solutions tailored to the organization’s needs.
• Provide guidance on SRE best practices and assist in incident response and resolution related to cloud security events.
• Stay updated with emerging cloud security trends and technologies to continuously improve security practices.

Category wise Technical Skills:

Cloud Security:

• In-depth understanding of AWS security and monitoring services (AWS Config, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Security Hub).
• Experience with cloud-native security solutions and best practices.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

• Proficiency in IaC tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Experience with AWS Lambda, CDK, and implementing infrastructure as code.

CI/CD and Automation:

• Knowledge of CI/CD automation tools such as GitHub and TeamCity.
• Understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices.

Reliability Engineering:

• Experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including logging and monitoring.

Scripting and Programming:

• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as PowerShell, Bash, and Python.

Experience:

• 7 to 10 years of experience in cloud security, system engineering, or a related field.
• Proven track record of implementing security measures in cloud environments.
• Experience in developing new tools and integrating AWS native cloud services across organizations.

Day-to-Day Activities:

• Monitor cloud infrastructure and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to enhance security in the CI/CD pipeline.
• Review and implement security policies and procedures for cloud environments.
• Conduct security assessments and audits of cloud infrastructure.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline security processes.
• Analyze logs and use monitoring tools to identify potential security threats.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in cloud security (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)) are a plus.
