Senior Network/Security Engineer

Job Description

• Responsible for the optimal functioning of network and security components
• Implements the tools guaranteeing the coherence of the infrastructures;
• Has a global and updated vision of information systems as well as a good knowledge of the company;
• Carries out a permanent inventory and manages the various components of the various networks and security components;
• Monitors and analyzes performance, implements measures likely to improve the quality or productivity of networks and tools.
• Develops the rules for using the tools, in accordance with the norms and standards of the company and in accordance with service contracts.
• Documents, promotes and monitors their application;
• Installs the active part of the connections (switches, bridges, routers), computer hardware (connected servers) and network software;
• Respects the installation, connection ... procedures for hardware and software;
• Provides support to operating teams on Major incidents (prioritization of actions and participation in crisis units);
• Participation in the management of changes and releases into production while ensuring the correct measurement of the impacts for his client.
• Proposal for continuous improvement of the infrastructure and processes.
• The Network & Security Build Specialist has a role of identifying, proposing and steering simple organizational and technical changes to improve the LAN, TolP, visio and security service on the operated perimeter

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree required in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field.
• Requires 5+ years of experience in information technology
• Experience in Network Expertise required
• Experience in Security Expertise preferred

• Information Technology – Expert
• Network and Telecommunications (CISCO, MPLS/WAN/LAN)– Advanced
• IT Security (Palo Alto, Forcepoint, Encryption)– Advanced
• ITIL processes - Basic
• Project Management - Basic
• Excellent verbal and oral communication – Advanced (English)
• Virtualization (VMware), Basic
• Storage (Netapp, EMC), Basic
• Back up (Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup), Basic
• MS SQL 2008 and/or higher, Basic
• Active Directory, Basic

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

 TOGAF certification is preferred but not mandatory
