OPS Consulting is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Officer 2 to work in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for the program’s information assurance program.
  • Support, coordinate, implement, and enforce information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
  • Maintain operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed.
  • Assist with the management of security aspects of the information system and perform day-to-day security operations of the system.
  • Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing.
  • Perform vulnerability and risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation.
  • Provide configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Mange changes to system and assesses the security impact of changes.
  • Prepares and reviews documentation to include System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs).
  • Supports security authorization activities in compliance with National Institute of Standards and Technology Risk Management Framework (NIST RMF).

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Eight (8) years of experience as an ISSO.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in the following areas: knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation; communication protocols; and
  • encryption techniques/tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.  
  • Four (4) years of additional ISSO experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.


Security Clearance: 

  • A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required.

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00

Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
