- The role manages enterprise-wide cyber security and IT Governance, ensuring information resource protection. It provides technical leadership, consults across the organization, and collaborates with external experts to address cyber security incidents.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and enhance cybersecurity measures for network, system, and endpoint security.
- Develop and maintain security frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular cybersecurity risk assessments, automate controls, and raise staff awareness through training.
- Regularly review and improve IT policies, standards, guidelines, and best practices to align with organizational objectives and industry standards.
- Implement impactful change management plans, including communication and training programs, to ensure widespread adoption and compliance.
- Engage actively in audit planning meetings, providing necessary materials, validating findings, proposing remediation solutions, and implementing agreed-upon measures promptly.
- Foster a culture of IT risk management, governance, and compliance throughout the organization by driving regular security access and activity log reviews.
- Play a key role in IT strategic planning and budgeting.
- Verify that IT vendors adhere to contractual obligations.
- Stay current on cybersecurity technologies and standards, while also addressing any other reasonable duties assigned by the Director of Information Technology.
Requirements
- Degree in engineering, science, or information technology, or equivalent education.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in cybersecurity management and security governance, and candidates with additional experience will be considered for a Senior Manager position.
- Strong knowledge of security risk management, governance frameworks, and compliance, along with practical experience in vulnerability management, application security, and various cybersecurity tools, is essential, demonstrating a solid understanding of cybersecurity standards.
