The role is crucial for driving technical excellence in EUC Vulnerability Management, ensuring a robust security posture across Flight Centre's global IT infrastructure. As an EUC Technical Lead, you will leverage your expertise to lead a team of engineers, guide vulnerability management processes, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve and secure the company’s end-user systems. This role requires technical leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on expertise in managing complex IT systems and vulnerabilities across global teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Mentorship: Lead a team of EUC Engineers, providing technical guidance and mentoring in the areas of patch management, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance.
- Vulnerability Management: Oversee and manage the identification, prioritization, and remediation of vulnerabilities in workstations, devices, and applications. Collaborate with the Security Operations team to ensure vulnerabilities are mitigated in a timely manner.
- Technical Expertise: Utilize your advanced knowledge of workstation patching, device application management, and security technologies (e.g., MS Intune, Kace, and MDM/MAM platforms) to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Automation & Optimization: Drive initiatives to automate patch management processes and optimize the efficiency of vulnerability scanning tools and systems. Identify and implement continuous improvement strategies across the EUC environment.
- Collaboration & Communication: Partner with internal stakeholders, including Security, Development, and Operations teams, to ensure vulnerability management best practices are adhered to. Effectively communicate complex security and technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Reporting & Compliance: Produce regular reports on vulnerability management metrics, incident response, and patching compliance. Assist in developing strategies to meet corporate security goals and ensure alignment with industry standards.
- Risk & Incident Management: Proactively manage risks associated with vulnerabilities, ensuring that critical vulnerabilities are identified and addressed first. Work with vendors and third parties (e.g., PatchMyPC) to resolve issues.
- Strategy & Process Improvement: Help define and evolve the EUC vulnerability management strategy to align with organizational goals and industry best practices. Contribute to the development of preventative maintenance strategies and future-proof security measures.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT security, with a focus on End User Compute (EUC), vulnerability management, and device/application security.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading technical teams, managing cross-functional projects, and guiding technical decision-making in complex environments.
- Technical Expertise:
- Hands-on experience with EUC tools (e.g., MS Intune, Kace, Autopilot, Quest Kace).
- Extensive experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys) and patch management.
