Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Cybersecurity Intern to join our team! In this role you will get to learn from experienced cybersecurity professionals, gain hands-on experience, and develop your skills in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

• This is a summer internship opportunity for a technically promising college student with an interest in cybersecurity.
• You will be mentored by members of our Satellite Operations Systems and Services team to provide support to both internal and customer focused projects.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments.
• Monitor security logs and incident response.
• Analyze security threats and risks.
• Support system engineering and risk management activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Must be enrolled in a Computer Science or related curriculum at an accredited college or university and have completed typically 1+ year of studies (e.g., Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Sciences, Cybersecurity, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Attention to detail and time management.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• This position is located onsite in Colorado Springs.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
• Knowledge of security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS).
• Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP).
• Course experience/scripting skills (Python, PowerShell).
• Experience with cloud security (Azure, AWS).

Salary Range: 

$21.44 - $37.55
