As Ransomware & Risk IT Lead, oversees the local implementation of the Ransomware program in collaboration with the Central Team. Additionally, manages the organization’s IT Risk programs and initiatives, ensuring their effective delivery and alignment with the overall security strategy. 

As Ransomware & Risk IT Lead, oversees the local implementation of the Ransomware program in collaboration with the Central Team. Additionally, manages the organization’s IT Risk programs and initiatives, ensuring their effective delivery and alignment with the overall security strategy.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the establishment of intricate IT programs by mobilizing and aligning cross-functional teams around key assets, ensuring effective collaboration and resource optimization.
  • Serves as the primary liaison with Central Teams, particularly BTP, to ensure adherence to technology standards and foster seamless alignment.
  • Establish teams and transfer execution responsibilities to the IT Area Leads.  
  • Coordinates the IT Risk Security Champions who are distributed among the various teams.
  • Stakeholder management:
    • Develops and executes comprehensive stakeholder management strategies to ensure alignment and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
    • Fosters strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, IT Teams, and external partners, to effectively communicate risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and incident response plans related to ransomware threats.
  • Risk management and compliance: Recognizes and manages process and technology risks and ensures compliance. Actively raises awareness among staff. Ambassador for the importance of risk management and compliance.
  • People Management: Encourages people management and leads by example.
  • Financial: Compiles (or provides input for) the annual budget. Focuses on developments in costs and benefits of the assigned budget.
  • Organizational change: Is responsible for the execution of change at departmental and team level.
  • Knowledge acquisition and sharing:
    • Applies knowledge of developments in the IT domain in providing input for policy-making.
    • Is responsible for keeping the knowledge level of his or her own focus areas up to date.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC) is preferred.

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT security, risk management, or related fields, with a focus on ransomware and cyber threat mitigation.
  • Proven track record of managing and implementing cybersecurity programs, particularly in the area of ransomware defense and recovery strategies.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver IT risk initiatives and security solutions.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in ransomware prevention tools, incident response planning, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Familiarity with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection solutions.

Leadership  Communication:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and initiatives, driving collaboration between local teams and central security functions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
