Specialist GRC AI

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will lead a globally distributed team responsible for cultivating a culture of information risk management and across the Amgen workforce that allow the business to operate in a risk informed and risk adjusted environment. In this position, you will support the day-to-day operations of integrating AI into all risk management processes and services and drive its strategic evolution to safeguard the company’s assets and reputation. In alignment with the organization’s values and strategic efforts, your work will significantly impact the resilience and security posture of the company.

The role is expected to deliver services and solutions that support the mission, priorities, and objectives of Amgen’s Cybersecurity & Digital Trust (CDT) team. You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the RMF 2.0 program.

  • Support the operational roadmap for AI in GRC.

  • Playing a critical role in ensuring the responsible and ethical use of AI technology within the organization.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, data scientists, and stakeholders (internal and external) to establish and enforce AI risk guardrails and policies.

  • Enabling a positive experience for the end user by developing simple questions and self-service functionality with clear direction on where to reach out for support.

  • Prioritize efficiency and agility to accelerate the AI risk assessment process without compromising accuracy or thoroughness (i.e., only answering relevant questions to the use case).

  • Remove duplications across risk assessments and create a clear path from idea intake to deployment of an AI solution

  • Supporting the adoption, development, implementation, and acceptable use of AI by the firm.

  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders, sponsors, and relevant parties.

  • Facilitate innovation and use of AI technology by providing the appropriate controls / mitigation – serving end users as an “enabler” rather than “blocker”

  • Partnering with the risk towers of the GRC program to appropriately manage, report, and monitor AI risk.

  • Working closely with business partners, CDT leaders, privacy, legal, and compliance partners to ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines.

  • Actively engage with leadership to inform strategic direction of the service and gain multi-functional support for strategic program development
