WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a Cybersecurity Technical Writer at Kaseya, you'll be on the front lines, helping our customers understand and respond to the latest cyber threats. You’ll work alongside our detection engineering and threat research teams to prepare and distribute content about vulnerabilities, malware, and security best practices. Whether you're summarizing emerging threats like Hafnium or Log4j, curating blog posts and videos, or helping customers understand complex technical details, your goal is to ensure Kaseya’s customers are equipped with the knowledge to defend their businesses. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We’re looking for a technical content writer with a strong background in cybersecurity to join our team. You’ll report to the Cybersecurity Content Lead and collaborate closely with the Threat Intelligence and Product teams to craft timely, relevant, and insightful content. The ideal candidate is someone with a knack for explaining complex security topics clearly and a deep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with Threat Intelligence Team: Work closely with the threat research team to summarize and report on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and malware affecting Kaseya customers (e.g., Hafnium, Log4j).
- Curate and Create Content: Transform technical data from experts into digestible blog posts, articles, and short-form video content to educate and inform customers.
- Rapid Response to New Threats: Stay on top of emerging threats and be ready to act quickly when new vulnerabilities are discovered, even outside regular working hours.
- Cross-team Collaboration: Partner with cybersecurity product teams and other threat intelligence experts to ensure our product offerings are aligned with the latest threats and security measures.
- Translate Technical Jargon: Break down complex cybersecurity concepts (e.g., malware, vulnerabilities, endpoints) into clear, concise documentation for both business leaders and IT generalist audiences.
- SEO and Keyword Research: Use SEO best practices to drive traffic to your content and increase its visibility.
- Create Engaging Content: Craft compelling headlines, body copy, and calls to action that capture the attention of readers and make technical topics accessible.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity content writing or technical writing, with a focus on vulnerabilities, malware, defenses, and threats.
- Writing Skills: Proven experience in writing and editing, with a portfolio of published articles that demonstrate your ability to convey technical content in an engaging, easy-to-understand way.
- Cybersecurity Knowledge: A solid understanding of cybersecurity terms and concepts (vulnerabilities, malware, endpoints, etc.) and a passion for learning more.
- Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of content management systems and SEO best practices to ensure your content reaches the right audience.
- Agility: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where responding to new and emerging threats is critical to the success of our customers.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, English, journalism, or a related field. Cybersecurity-related degrees are also acceptable if you have demonstrated strong communication experience and writing skills.
- Cybersecurity Focus: Knowledge of cybersecurity defenses, vulnerabilities, and threat intelligence to ensure content is technically accurate and informative.
