Apogee is actively seeking a full-time IT Technician to support the Product Support Facility (PSF) Help Desk for the United States Space Force (USSF).  This contract provides Space Logistics Infrastructure Support Service-2 (SLISS-2) services to Space Systems Command (SSC) Detachment 5 (Det 5) and related space organizations. The SLISS-2 contract supports various missions, command, control, communications, and intelligence activities within United States Space Force (USSF), SSC Det 5, Peterson SFB, CO.   The mission of SSC Det 5 is to sustain and improve space weapons systems. This is accomplished by providing logistical support to various space organizations such as, but not limited to, Satellite Control Network (SCN), Launches and Ranges, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM), and Space Based Infrared Systems (SBIRS). The mission of SSC Det 5 also includes providing support to the assigned Program Support Managers (PSMs) and System Program Directors (SPDs) in meeting life-cycle performance and cost requirements in support to the USSF missions.   This is a full-time opportunity at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, CO.   Why work with us?   • Provide Tier I and Tier II help desk technical support to customers and peers including application and hardware support, troubleshoot network connectivity, and assist with requests regarding account administration, training, distribution, and documentation of software, system, and network status.
  • Install, maintain, configure, troubleshoot/repair IT devices, and software. Includes, but not limited to, desktop PCs, laptops, tablets, scanners, printers, mobile cellular devices, and peripherals in an environment with Microsoft Windows 10, and Microsoft Office 2016
  • Utilize Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC), BMC Remedy, Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA), Dame Ware Remote Control, and other software as needed to assist users and administer user and computer accounts, security groups, and distribution lists
  • Work independently and as part of a team to troubleshoot and solve hardware and software issues for the user community
  • Monitor trouble ticket queues and emails for timely customer engagement and resolution
  • Interact daily with Senior Tech and customers; interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of information via the phone, email, or face-to-face communication
  • Interact well with peers, end users, and external support organizations in a professional and courteous manner
  • Provide software license management for Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) and Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) software
Minimum Experience: Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret clearance Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent 8570 level II compliance required at time of application Education: HS Diploma Years of Experience: 2-3+ years of relevant IT support experience   Compensation and Benefits:
  • The pay range for this position is $22-24/hr (this position is paid hourly, non-exempt); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act. Base pay information is based on market location. Applicants should apply via Apogee's careers site.
  • Apogee offers two medical plans, a high deductible health plan with an HRA and a traditional POS plan with co-pays, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, PTO, paid holidays, parental, military, and jury duty paid leaves. Regular part-time employees scheduled for twenty-four or more hours per work week are eligible for benefits on a pro-rated basis.
