  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Owner to lead the development of strategies, solutions, and integrations aimed at detecting deepfakes, preventing fraud, and mitigating cybercriminal activities across our online customer platforms and enterprise workforce platforms. This role is critical in shaping our strategic identity program, ensuring secure, seamless, and trusted digital experiences for both customers and employees.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in identity management, fraud detection technologies, and cybersecurity, with experience working across complex enterprise environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, Group 1001 brands, including IT, security, product management, and business stakeholders, to drive innovation, deliver cutting-edge solutions, and create a robust identity and fraud prevention ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Vision:

  • Develop and drive the execution of capabilities for detecting deepfakes, preventing fraud, and identifying cybercriminal activities.
  • Define and maintain a product roadmap focused on innovative identity protection solutions and fraud prevention strategies.
  • Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders to align product goals with broader business objectives and identity program strategies.

Solution Development:

  • Work closely with engineering and application owners to design, develop, and integrate fraud detection, biometric verification, and deepfake detection technologies.
  • Lead initiatives focused on enhancing customer and workforce identity platforms by implementing advanced AI/ML-driven fraud detection solutions.
  • Oversee the integration of third-party tools and services to enhance platform security and fraud prevention.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business leaders, cybersecurity, and identity management teams to understand requirements and prioritize initiatives.
  • Communicate product strategies, updates, and risks effectively to internal stakeholders and senior leadership. Foster collaboration with external vendors, security researchers, and industry bodies to stay ahead of emerging threats.

Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring:

  • Define success metrics, monitor the performance of fraud detection solutions, and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Analyze platform data to identify trends and vulnerabilities related to fraud, cybercrime, and deepfake incidents.
  • Drive the adoption of data-driven decision-making across identity management and fraud prevention initiatives.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure that all identity and fraud prevention solutions comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, NIST).
  • Partner with legal, risk, and compliance teams to address regulatory requirements and mitigate potential risks.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field. Advanced degree is a plus.

Experience:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Product Owner or Product Manager in identity management, cybersecurity, or fraud detection domains.
  • Strong understanding of fraud detection techniques, deepfake detection technologies, biometric verification systems, and AI/ML applications in cybersecurity.
  • Experience working with both customer-facing and enterprise workforce platforms.
  • Background in managing cross-functional teams, especially in cybersecurity, engineering, and product development.

Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of identity management solutions, fraud detection systems, and emerging cybersecurity threats.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven track record of influencing stakeholders and driving change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as FIDO, NIST 800-63, or ISO 27001 is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a highly regulated industry such as finance, healthcare, or government.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or PMP.
  • Experience with AI deepfake detection platforms such as Sentinel, Google SynthID, DuckDuckGoose, Intel FakeCatcher
  • Expertise and previous integration experience with Identity verification platforms such as ID.me, Veriscan, Onfido
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and identity management systems such as Microsoft Entra, Okta, Ping, or ForgeRock.

Compensation:  

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $180,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,000/year in our highest geographic market.  Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Employees who meet benefit eligibility guidelines and work 30 hours or more weekly, have the ability to enroll in Group 1001’s benefits package.
