Position Specific Description

The Engineering & Technical Services Team is looking for an Associate Engineer to join their team in Jupiter, FL.

The selected candidate for this role will:
•    Perform technical and economic evaluations of designs, prepares bids & specifications and engineers Substation projects.  •    Coordinate with other departments/contractors on construction projects to ensure equipment is installed and operational to meet established schedules and assist with field construction as needed. 
•    Select and procure Substation equipment and materials for Substation projects. 
•    Complete assigned projects within authorized budget, schedule, and scope. 
•    Utilize safety & compliance policies/practices and applicable QA programs. 
•    Review and update project drawings.

Working hours: M-F 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and overtime is required.

Job Overview

This job is responsible for evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks. This position conducts analysis on system performance and reliability strategy and provides recommendations.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

•   Assists with project management, negotiations, performance tracking and reporting
•   Delivers company standards, policies, training, and support of organization
•   Prepares communications, presentations and provides support at meetings
•   Formulates research, development and improvement measures
•   Works on all aspects of engineering design and permitting
•   Ability to meet attendance and storm duty requirements
•   Ability to work extended hours
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

•  Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
•  Bachelor's - Engineering
•  Experience:0+ years

Preferred Qualifications

•  Certified Professional Engineer (PE)
•  Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
•  Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
•  Master's Degree
•  Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified
•  Six Sigma Master Black Belt
