What are we looking for?

Checkmarx is seeking a talented Solutions Engineer to support its sales and business development activities in the UK/I and Northern Europe. The primary responsibility is to act as a trusted adviser and solution expert, working with the Sales team and driving the technology evaluation stages in the sales process. You must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technically-oriented prospects as well as ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle. You need to be self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The role involves working remotely and may require European travel as needed.


How will you make an impact?

· Act as a business solution adviser and product technical expert for Checkmarx prospects and customers across the region

· Manage and coordinate all technical requirements in the Sales process

· Perform technical demonstrations of the Checkmarx solution in face to face meetings, conventions, and web sessions

· Be able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFPs

· Able to convey customer requirements to the Product Management teams

· Design implementation of solutions according to customer’s technical requirements

Requirements

What is needed to succeed?

· A passion to learn and grow in a fast-changing industry

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or any correlating degree; master’s degree and/or CISSP certification preferred.

· 3 years experience in enterprise software pre-sales

· Strong teamwork capability, ability to work autonomously, a self-starter who works effectively with both technical and non-technical people.

· Ability to build relationships with other parts of the organization (Product, R&D, Marketing, Sales, etc)

· Project management experience would be an advantage.

· Technical writing experience a plus.

· Ideally have some experience with application/software development with any modern programming language like C#, .NET, JAVA, PHP, etc. and experience with modern CI/CD and DevOps tools preferred. Or a background in the software security industry, including penetration testing and code review.

· Adaptable and flexible with a history of embracing new processes and technologies.

· Exposure to MEDDICC sales methodology highly desirable.
