Systems Engineer Intern (Fluent/Business Level English)

We are looking for Intern Systems Engineers to work within a highly experienced and motivated technical sales team of over 70 professionals in UK and Ireland. The Systems Engineering team leads all technical aspects and positioning of Fortinet Security solutions as part of the sales cycles within our customers. 

As a Systems Engineer, you will:

  • Develop fundamental understanding of the Fortinet portfolio with appropriate industry standard certification, in addition to attaining Fortinet Certified Fundamentals and Fortinet Certified Associate certifications
  • Grow your professional and technical skills via training, coaching and practice that will be provided and supported by your Fortinet team
  • Work alongside the Systems Engineers (SEs), with rotations through each customer segment.
  • Have hands-on experience of the sales cycle as you assist and shadow SEs in customer meetings, workshops, product evaluations and more
  • Involvement with managing the day to day operations of our London demo lab including:
  • Operational capabilities including maintaining software currency and demonstrations
  • Develop and implement customer demonstrations with guidance from the SE team
  • Assist SE's with creating solution proposals and running customer demonstrations
  • Develop soft skills such as presentation and white boarding skills.
  • Research topics of interest, extracting relevant points and presenting these back to the Systems Engineering community
  • Present and Participate in Outreach, STEAM and CSR events. Whereby you can share your knowledge and skills learnt, with our future cyber talent

This will be through a combination of on-the-job training, one to one mentoring, formal on-line and classroom training, in addition to attendance at company events and seminars. 

Requirements: 

  • The student should be a 2nd Year Undergraduate Student studying a relevant degree with a strong Network Security or cybersecurity component to the syllabus
  • Basic Networking knowledge is essential
  • A-Level Computing Science or similar would be desirable
  • Strong interest in Network and Cybersecurity
