Job Description:

Ensure the safety and security of our nation as a Cyber Security Analyst Senior Advisor at GDIT. You’ll apply the latest technology and provide operational support to deliver actionable intelligence for the Intelligence Community. Our work depends on Cyber Security Analyst Senior Advisor joining our team to be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's cyber security assurance processes. This includes developing and implementing security policies and procedures, conducting security assessments, and monitoring the organization's cyber security posture. TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

HOW A CYBER SECURITY ANALYST SENIOR ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Plans, prepares, and executes tests of systems to evaluate results against specifications and requirements as well as analyze/report test results

  • Performs assessments of systems and networks within the network environment or enclave and identifies where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy

  • Measures effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities

  • Performs forensic analysis of digital information and gathers and handles evidence. Identifies network computer intrusion evidence and perpetrators

  • Periodically conducts of a review of each system's audits and monitors corrective actions until all actions are closed

  • Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced cybersecurity personnel

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working under minimal supervision and exercising independent judgment to complete tasks in accordance with established policies, procedures, and techniques.

  • Experience identifying vulnerabilities

  • Experience developing technical Concept of Operations

  • Experience using industry standards regarding the design, construction, and configuration of global telecommunications networks

  • Experience managing large-scale and complex technical operations

  • Experience effectively expressing complex ideas and insights verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences

  • Experience remaining open-minded and changing opinions based on new information and requirements

  • Experience with packet capture analysis

  • Understand cyber operations concepts

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience briefing to an audience of varying technical expertise

  • Experience and the ability to travel locally and abroad as needed

  • Ability to interact and communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures

  • Experience conveying technical information to non-technical individuals

  • Utilize strong interpersonal skills

  • Experience working in a high-impact, busy office, and work collaboratively with teammates and leadership

  • Experience conducting penetration testing, information security, red team exercises, network incident response, and network or malware forensics

  • Experience working with and understanding wireless computer networking and RF technology

The likely salary range for this position is $173,400 - $234,600. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
