We provide Essential Intelligence: a combination of the right data, connected technologies and experts to enable our customers to make decisions with conviction.As a subject matter expert in the cash, synthetic equity and derivative space, you will be responsible for working across a wide variety of internal groups through the product delivery process, along with becoming the external voice of OSTTRA with customers and prospects to articulate and validate the change programme as well as providing key support during the adoption & rollout phases.
You will:
Understand the product landscape from the perspective of a market participant and possess the ability to articulate this to a range of teams internally, through effective ideation.
Collaborate with the commercial and sales team to synthesise customer feedback, develop business cases, propose thoughtful milestone-based roadmaps through user journeys that demonstrate an understanding of customer personas.
Identify the key challenges that inhibit market growth and recommend solutions to these problems that help to deliver incremental value to our customers.
Expertly balance product fixed, BAU enhancement prioritisation and executing development plans towards our product vision and long-term strategic objectives
Champion OSTTRA’s broad array of capabilities to deliver new innovative solutions to the market.
Develop go-to-market (GTM) plans based on regional nuances and working in close partnership with sales and marketing.
Actively participate in industry forums, driving OSTTRA’s vision and feeding back customer & market insights to our cross-functional stakeholders.
Prepare and deliver regular presentations and updates to senior stakeholders, to maximise alignment and synchronisation.
Place data-based insights at the heart of decision making, leveraging deep analytical skills to assess an array of opportunities and establish KPIs that help with measuring success.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will be expected to:
Provide pre-sales support including demos for our post trade equities capabilities
Attend meetings with potential customers to assess technical and business requirements, and ensure that all relevant information is gathered before proposing a solution.
Create technical design documentation, prototypes and wireframes to help convey messaging and work tirelessly to ensure successful product delivery.
Manage relationships with key partners including CCPs, maintaining regular engagement to align on respective roadmaps and priorities.
Maintain an understanding of inbound and outbound connectivity e.g. trading platforms, CCPs, third-party vendor systems
Help identify and assess strategic partnership opportunities that align with OSTTRA’s value proposition.
Qualifications:
Financial services industry experience, specifically in the equities space and preferably with knowledge of cash, synthetic & derivative products.
Strong technical and analytical skills around the areas of post-trade processing and lifecycle processes and costs.
Demonstrable understanding of the service/distribution model and growing network businesses across financial market participants.
Knowledge of markets across both bilateral and tri-party models for both traditionally settled and cleared environments.
Experience with the evolution of global regulations impacting equity markets
Deep knowledge of equities workflows across the entire post-trade lifecycle and the role that each market participant plays.
Analytical mindset with an attention to detail and the ability to simply explain complex processes.
Proven knowledge of communication/messaging protocols and their application including FIX, SWIFT, MQ, FPML etc.
Experience with the suite of Google Workspace applications and collaboration tools.
Thorough understanding of the cost & optimisation drivers influencing investment decisions amongst market participants
Strong teamwork skills, with curiosity & desire to collaborate across diverse, global teams
Bachelor's degree with a strong academic background. Postgraduate, CFA or MBA a real plus
Hands-on experience of scripting style languages for the creation of demonstrable prototypes is a plus, e.g. VBA, J-script, Python
