Position Overview:
Functions as a member of the technical services team responsible for directly supporting enterprise IT Security systems and projects. Contribute to the development and evolution of the organization's security architecture under the guidance of the IT Security Engineering Manager. Assist in defining and maintaining security policies, standards, and guidelines.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Master's degree preferred.
Experience:Three years of security engineering experience, with a focus on architecture and technology implementation.
Other Credentials:
Knowledge and Skills:Relevant security certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent strongly preferred. Knowledge of desktop support, networking and security technologies. Experience with desktops, servers, storage, virtualization, networking and security technologies. Working knowledge or IAM, PAM and other security solutions.
Special Training:Network+, Security+, CySA+, CEH or other advanced IT security certifications.
Mental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities:Strong teamwork abilities. Must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time. Can effectively interact with staff and system vendors on a regular basis. Experience with IT projects from inception to completion, working independently or with a larger team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Contributes to the development and evolution of the organization's security architecture under the guidance of the IT Security Engineering Manager.
Assists in defining and maintaining security policies, standards, and guidelines.
Evaluates and implement security technologies, including endpoint detection, firewalls, and other security tools.
Collaborates with vendors and internal teams to deploy and integrate security solutions.
Conducts security assessments, including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
Provides recommendations to remediate identified security vulnerabilities.
Assists in developing and refining incident response plans and procedures.
Participates in tabletop exercises and simulations to enhance incident response capabilities.
Contributes to the development and delivery of security awareness training for employees.
Provides guidance on security best practices and awareness.
Collaborates closely with the Security Operations team to understand operational challenges and contribute to solutions.
Participates in post-incident reviews and contribute to lessons learned.
Maintains comprehensive documentation related to security architecture, assessments, and technology implementations.
Ensures documentation is aligned with organizational standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
