More about the team: 

The Product Documentation team is responsible for the knowledge base, product help, support-specific deliverables, and standalone PDFs for various teams. We use an XML-based CCMS that single-sources to all our delivery mediums. We are committed to constant innovation and improvement, which includes: editing for various teams to improve SentinelOne assets, innovation of methodologies to improve the team efficiency or quality, and self-development to improve our own abilities. Every team member is expected to learn technology on their own, use the product, create assets (videos, topics, and more), be helpful and responsive to everyone in SentinelOne, and work as a team (sharing the load and knowledge). The technical writers report to the Knowledge Manager and are part of the Product group.

You will join a cutting-edge project and will be able to influence the architecture, design, and structure of our core platform. What are we looking for?

The Product Documentation team is responsible for all technical knowledge of the product. You will create release notes, user procedures, user scenarios, graphics, animated gifs, and innovate for more formats. Every day will be a new challenge, a new set of skills to use and on which to improve, based on your preferences within the requirements of the current projects.

This is a hybrid position that requires you to work from our Bangalore office, two days a week on an average. When remote, you are required to meet with the team during the regular work hours. It requires hour-flexibility, to be able to work with the Documentation, Support, and R&D teams in the Middle East, Europe, and the USA.

What will you do? 

• Plan, research, and document features in a topic-based method. Research includes collaboration with Support, Development, QA, Product Management, and other teams, with a focus on self-learning through hands-on, independent study, and extraction of use-case and other information from the MRD/PRD. 
• Write according to our style guide to create error-free release notes and help content, published to multiple formats.
• Work with the Product Documentation team to create integrated, consistent deliverables and to innovate for constant improvement.
• Create videos of procedures.

What skills and knowledge should you bring?

• 5+ years of experience as a technical writer out of which 3+ years in documenting Cyber Security, networking, telecom, or storage products.
• Ability to learn quickly and to produce quality in a hybrid environment, with consistent self-tracking, on-time delivery, and constant communication with your manager, team, and SMEs.
• Professional English, written and verbal, at the highest level.

Nice to have:

• Experience with:  CCMS (Paligo, Author-it, or similar), Zendesk, TechSmith products, and documentation of APIs or SDKs.
• Skills: HTML5, XML ASD-STE-100.
• Experience or knowledge of Cyber Security, networking, virtualization, or cloud computing concepts.
