Product Security Intern 

 

Job Description 


The Univers Digital Cyber Security organization is growing rapidly to help guide the company through its own global hyper growth phase. This growth is fueled by customer demand for our innovative cloud-based software and embedded product lines. 


As a Product Security Intern, you will work collaboratively with security and development teams to support multiple aspects of cybersecurity, including Cloud platform, Edge devices and server infrastructure. You will also:


  • Learn Security and Penetration Testing skills from Senior members of the team
  • Work on product security to support both our Cloud Platform and IoT Edge teams and help develop and build security utilities and tools
  • Learn how an AIoT Cloud operates and offer fresh new ideas on how to improve Security.
  • Build automation scripts for the deployment of cloud infrastructure (Infrastructure as Code) and security (Security as Code).
  • Work with Security Architects to implement security solutions to support customers’ security requirements.
  • Support security compliance programs such as ISO 27001, IEC 62443 and SOC2
  • Develop, maintain, and promote standards with the rest of the Cyber Security team through workshops, office hours, knowledge shares and brown-bag sessions

Required Qualifications 

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering or in a STEM Major (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD and automation principles.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools (Chef, Git, Jenkins) a plus.
  • Basic understanding of virtual infrastructure and containerization technologies
  • Basic understanding of security controls in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and alike.
  • Partner with product owners in requirement gathering and vetting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially experience with executive-level communications
  • Willingness to learn and contribute
