We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Network and Security Team Lead to oversee our network and security operations within Quintet Bank. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of our banking systems and data against cyber threats. The successful candidate will lead a skilled team, implement security solutions, and manage risks associated with our network infrastructure. The successful candidate will work as part of the ITS Group Function in Network & Security Team of Quintet Luxembourg.
Key Accountabilities
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of network and security professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Manages the entity’s budget, monitors & controls the entity’s activities, motivate, coach the team members, personal development plan, team spirit and conduct then performance appraisal
- Network Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructure to support banking operations while ensuring compliance with our policy and regulations. Ensure the availability and the performance of the Networks & Security services are aligned with business and ITS requirements (SLAs) and are produced at optimum costs (benchmarks).
- Security Management: Ensures that the security is correctly implemented according to the Information Security Policy, documentation is always accurate and maintain up-to-date to protect sensitive financial data against unauthorized access, breaches, and other cyber threats.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential threats to network and data security.
- Incident Response: Lead incident response efforts, ensuring swift resolution of security breaches and minimizing impact on operations. Ensures an efficient prioritization of all incidents and requests.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Architect Team, others IT department and CISO team to ensure alignment of security strategies with overall business objectives. Coordinate activities and services requests with other teams. Manages the regular follow-up meetings including external suppliers meetings and ensuring the respect of service contracts and/or services agreements
- Reporting: Provide regular reports to senior management on network security status, incidents, and risk management efforts.
Knowledge and Experience
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in network and security management, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, security frameworks (such as ISO 27001, NIST), and best practices in risk management.
- Proven experience with security tools and technologies (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, etc.) are highly desirable.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge in Network Architecture and Design. Understanding of network topology and protocols (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VLANs, dhcp, dns, WiFi)
- Strong knowledge in Security Frameworks and Standards. Knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls) and Compliance regulations (GDPR, DORA, etc)
- Strong knowledge Firewall Next Generation (VPN, IPS, Anti-malware, Sandbox, URL Filtering, ...); Mail & Web gateways;
- Knowledge in VPN and Remote access solutions,
- Knowledge in Endpoints Security (antivirus, antimalware)
- Knowledge in Threat Intelligence and Vulnerability Management - Ability to analyse threat intelligence and conduct vulnerability assessments. Familiarity with security tools (SIEM, vulnerability scanners).
- Incident Response and Forensics. Experience in incident response planning and execution.
- Cloud Security. Knowledge of securing cloud environments. (MS Azure)
- Risk Assessment and Management. Skills in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
- Project Management. Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, ITIL).
Languages Skills
- Excellent written and oral French and English skills are essential, any other language is an advantage
