We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Center Security Specialist to join the Security and Operations Management (SOM) team, as part of Datacenter Management (DCM) organization. This role is crucial in ensuring the protection of our data center’s assets and proper execution of security polices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, enhancing, monitoring, and advising on security policies and procedures to safeguard our infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Security Policies: Create and enhance security policies related to physical access and asset protection within the data center.
- Monitor Security Controls: Continuously monitor security controls and protocols to ensure compliance with established policies.
- Support Security Audits: Support regular security audits and assessments to identify possible security risks and recommend improvements.
- Incident Response: Participate and coordinate response efforts to security incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Training and Awareness: Provide training and awareness programs for the DCM team on security best practices and protocols.
- Service Providers Management: Oversee and assess compliance of Service Providers with security policies and manage security deliverables.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other security teams and departments to ensure a cohesive approach to security across the organization.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on security status, incidents, and improvements for senior management.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in data center security or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in security systems, access control systems, and surveillance technologies.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey security policies and procedures.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications and Certifications:
- Experience with security incident response and management.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to data center security.
- Familiarity with physical security technologies and best practices.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $69,600 - $161,300 (USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
