Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is searching for  a Software Engineer/Developer to support the Air Force and DoD technology transfer programs with the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of the system.  As a member of the development team, you will be called upon to support full lifecycle software engineering and full-stack (LAMP) development to implement and provide enhancements to the software suite of web portal applications, custom built workflow, data consolidation, integration, search engines, and reporting tools. 

Essential Job Responsibilities

Job Duties (This list is not all inclusive and may change)
•    Facilitate software utilizing the AGILE/SCRUM and SDLC methodologies
•    Work with current development team to develop and deploy new features in LAMP (Linux, Apache, MongoDB, PHP) environment
•    Strong knowledge and experience with Angular Framework is a must
•    Maintain and upgrade and modify the software during and following deployment
•    Write clean, well designed code following industry best practices
•    Work with stake holders to improve software and create new capabilities based on user requirements
•    Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency with unit testing Angular Framework and PHP Mockery
•    Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software
•    Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with small technical team
•    Teamwork oriented
•    Willingness to work off-core-hours, when necessary, to deploy software or upgrade hardware
•    Must be able to support hybrid work environment (from home and from work office)

Minimum Qualifications

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

 

•    3-5 years of software experience in PHP, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML
•    5+ years of experience with Angular Framework (Angular 2+ and Angular CLI)
•    Experience using GIT repository tools
•    Strong knowledge and understanding of the full software engineering & development lifecycle from initial requirements gathering/scoping to production grade products
•    Understanding and knowledge of several of the following programming languages: JavaScript, PHP, JSON, UNIX/Linux shell scripting
•    Experience in automated deployment tools such as Ansible, Jenkins and Infrastructure As Code.
•    Experience in supporting AGILE methodology for software development lifecycle
•    Experience with JIRA, DevOPS or other software development management systems preferred 
•    Experience and/or knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure and technology solution stack and services, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) preferred
•    Decisiveness under pressure and strong critical thinking skills
•    Great time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

•    Security Clearance or ability to acquire a Secret level clearance required

Preferred Requirements

•     DoD 8570 IAT II certification preferred
•    CompTIA Security + certification preferred
•    Experience with applying Security Technical Implementation Guide standards.
