Position Summary

The Senior Executive Protection Analyst/Agent is responsible for, independently, providing close protection and risk assessments with an emphasis on safety and customer service, as well as producing analytic products based on open-source intelligence and threat reporting. Under limited supervision, requires close collaboration with numerous stakeholders involved with risk analysis/mitigation and is responsible for supporting the Crisis Prevention and Management team, specifically the Executive Protection Team.

 

  • This position will be working at the Erie Corporate Office in Erie, PA

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary:

  • Identifies and develops opportunities to predict and prevent future security issues and/or incidents in coordination with the Crisis Prevention and Management team.
  • Monitors geopolitical and relevant emergent situations which may impact business operations, travel, executives, and corporate events and provides timely and periodic reporting.
  • Provides analytic coordination, support and risk assessments involving executive travel, events, potential security threats, brand and reputation, and due diligence.
  • Researches open-source intelligence, social media platforms, and other cyber sources for known and potential threats capable of impacting the safety of employees and the continuity of operations.
  • Collaborates closely with the Executive Protection team, Crisis Prevention and Management team, Enterprise Risk Management, Human Resources, Law, and Information Security teams to resolve threats or incidents.
  • May be required to perform stressful and physical activity.

 

Duties and Responsibilities (cont'd if applicable)

Secondary:

  • Independently provides close protection for ERIE leadership and employees during domestic and/or international assignments with an emphasis on safety and customer service.
  • Conducts advance protective planning, risk assessments, logistic and travel coordination of high complexity with stakeholders, de-escalation of high stress situations and responds to emergencies.
  • Identifies and responds to potential threats capable of impacting the safety of employees, the continuity of operations and/or harm to the brand and reputation. 
  • Matures threat and incident analytics in collaboration with the Protective Intelligence Analyst as well as other ERIE stakeholders. 
  • Develops and maintains liaison relationships and contracts with local, state, and federal law enforcement and other related government agencies.
  • Develops emergency procedures, incident responses and key performance indicators in collaboration with the Crisis Prevention and Management team. 
  • Improves security advances, threat analytics, workflows, and the methods which analysis and reporting are conducted.

Qualifications

Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field or equivalent military or law enforcement experience required. Seven years of Executive protection work experience or equivalent required; or 
  • Associate degree in any related field or equivalent military or law enforcement experience required. Nine years of Executive protection work experience required or equivalent required. 


Additional Experience

  • Abides by security operations Force Response Policy and Weapons Handling Policy and all other department procedures and policies when dealing with applicable situations. 
  • First Responder experience required and/or Combat Medical training/experience.
  • Successful EMR certification will be required after hire. 
  • This position requires the incumbent to be on call 24/7. 
  • Intelligence experience in corporate, military, or governmental agency preferred. 
  • Experience working with highly confidential information. 
  • Technical proficiency and analytic experience with open-source research tools required. 
  • Background in cyber threat analysis and protective operations preferred. 
  • Willingness to respond to requests and disruptions that may occur outside of normal business hours. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications required. 
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (to include building infographics) preferred.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, and/or walking, which may be required for long periods of time. 
  • Domestic and/or international travel required.
  • This position requires random screenings as a condition of employment 


Designations and/or Licenses

  • Eligibility for PA License (SP4–129) To Carry Firearms, required. 
  • Successful completion of the following:
    • Certification in OC Spray
    • Pennsylvania Lethal Weapons Training Act (PA Act 235)
    • ERIE’s Armed Security Officer Course (ASOC) 
    • Executive Protection Course (EPC)
      • A completion time of 18 months from the start date is allotted. If the incumbent does not successfully complete the ASOC/EPC within the allotted time, then employment will be terminated. 
  • Valid driver’s license and meets the requirements of ERIE’s Fleet Safety Program.
