Position Overview:   

Entrust is currently looking for a Manager to lead our Professional Services Global Solution Architecture team. This position will be based in our Ottawa location, and will report to the Director, Professional Services.

 

This is a supervisory role with direct technical input/participation required on individual projects, occasionally. The role will challenge the successful candidate to hone their solution architecture skills for solutions ranging from PKI to Access Control to Card Production. The type of projects on which the team will be involved covers the complete set of software, solutions and services offered, commercially, by Entrust.

 

Responsibilities: 

Team Lead/Supervision - 60%

  • Conduct team meetings

  • Plan and oversee the work and quality of small teams of (or individual) Solution Architects for work products such as (but not limited to)

o Solution Architectures

o   Certificate Policies

o   Certificate Practice Statements

o   Threat Risk Analysis

o   Creation or analysis of policies and procedures

o   Fit-Gap Analysis between commercial products and customer requirements

o   RFP responses

  • Collaborate with other Entrust stakeholders such as Project Managers, Product Engineering and System Integrators globally to ensure sufficient capacity and coordination regarding the team

  • Respond to relevant estimate requests

  • Day-to-day operational oversight and people-management tasks for the team

 

Technical Engagement - 30%

  • Assist project implementation teams with spot expertise required to deliver projects. This could include (but is not limited to):

o   Design consultation

o   Consultation regarding new technology projects

  • Act as point-of-contact for IT systems utilized by the global PS team such as:

o   Atlasian products such as Jira

o   Build servers

o   Hardware and software required by project teams in support of implementation

 

Process - 10%

  • Collaborate within a team environment using a variety of methodologies and tools.

  • Maintain a broad perspective and anticipate future challenges and opportunities.

  • Develop plans and strategies with a global perspective in mind.

  • Use creative, resourceful approaches to solve problems.

 

Basic Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Team Leadership experience

  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, Mathematics or related experience

  • Design and implementation of integration components

  • Experience with installing and configuring Windows or Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

  • Experience with infrastructure tools including Jira and/or Confluence
