Your tasks:

• As Principal AI@ Cyber Security (m/f/x), you are a central part of the management team. Your role doesn't include disciplinary management, but is characterized by responsibility for strategic topics and technical expertise. In doing so, you define and lead the strategic direction for AI in cyber security, monitor market trends and promote cross-departmental initiatives.

• You will develop, refine and be responsible for the strategic vision of AI-driven cyber security across the company's technology platforms.

• You will work with different tech teams to integrate advanced AI models into our applications and ensure that they are robust and safe.

• You ensure that Mercedes-Benz Tech innovation remains at the forefront of the latest AI cyber threats and AI technologies. You will continuously improve our AI Cyber Security Landscape and serve as a trusted consultant (m/f/x) and expert (m/f/x) for business partners (m/f/x) and the management team by giving insights and recommendations on AI security trends and best practices.

• You will hold technical discussions and workshops and promote an inter-organizational innovation and cyber security culture.

• You continually monitor and optimize the security infrastructure, ensure that all AI cyber security practices meet industry standards and regulatory requirements, minimize risks throughout the organization (e.g. EU AI Act) and evaluate and implement state-of-the-art AI cyber security tools and frameworks to align them with our strategic goals.

• You empower IT and Cyber Security teams to handle AI-supported cyber security solutions, establish and develop relationships with external partners (m/f/x) and cyber security organizations.

Your profile:

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, cyber security, artificial intelligence, or a related field and at best have relevant certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, CEH.

• You bring extensive experience in training and improving existing models with a tailor-made information kit, including fine-tuning and application of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAGs) and other advanced techniques.

• You can already have success in designing and implementing AI-based security solutions in highly complex technical environments, always using innovative approaches and state-of-the-art technologies.

• You have a deep understanding of AI algorithms, data science, and ideally their application in cyber security, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex security challenges.

• You have excellent communication skills that allow you to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and understandably to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, always building a bridge between different disciplines.

• You draw yourself through a proactive, future-oriented mindset and have a passion for being ahead of industry trends and driving continuous improvements.

• Proficient written and spoken English and German are required.
