Raytheon seeks and experienced IT Manager who will have responsibility for providing management of the SIPRNet IT team. The environment is a mix of ESXi/VCSA, Windows 10 and Server 2016/2019, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8, Cisco, and Juniper network devices. The SIPRNet IT Manager will be responsible for meeting with key program leaders on a weekly basis to develop schedules and address any competing priorities regarding the sustainment and maintenance of the environment. The IT Manager will also have regular face-to-face meetings with the Navy customer and the program ISSO to provide status on systems and ensure all mission and cyber security requirements are being addressed. This position will report directly to the ROTHR Operations and Maintenance Program Manager.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsibility for leading a team of IT professionals in the day-to-day operation and sustainment of the ROTHR, SIPRNet systems.
  • Ensuring ROTHR SIPRNet servers, workstations, and network devices are operating in accordance with all required DISA and ROTHR cyber security policies.
  • Ensuring systems meet all RMF requirements.
  • Ensuring ESS components are up to date and systems have the latest security patches IAW CND Directives and STIGs.
  • Ensuring weekly ACAS scans and reports, quarterly STIG checklists, and monthly SCAP scans are performed and provided to the customer.
  • Assisting system administrators and network engineers with troubleshooting and repairs in all aspects of ROTHR SIPRNet systems
  • Ensuring all contractual deliverables are provided to the customer as required.
  • Providing IT expertise for configuration changes affecting the systems/enclave to the program, including notification of the ISSM/ISSO for any configuration changes, and presentation to the Change Control Board (CCB) for approval prior to implementation.
  • Maintaining ROTHR Enterprise Material System (EMS).
  • Ensuring remote Navy customers receive ROTHR track data as required and coordinating problem resolutions with the customer.
  • Coordinating with the Operations Manager on required system or network outages due to updates, upgrades, etc.
  • Ability to act independently, prioritize tasks, and manage schedules

What You Will Learn:

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and 8 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Prior people leadership/management experience
  • Prior experience with developing and managing program processes, projects, and tactics
  • Must have DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret Security Clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance   

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • 4+ years relevant and recent experience with building, administering, and operating ESS ePO 5.10, RHEL-based ACAS, Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J) 6.x, Windows 10 and Server 2016/2019 Secure Host Baseline (SHB).
  • Experience managing a team of highly skilled senior system administrators and network engineers.
  • Experience with ROTHR Operations Control Center (OCC) operations.
  • Experience with preparing for and execution of Cyber Operational Readiness Assessment (CORA).
  • ESS and ACAS system administrator certifications.
  • Windows and Linux certifications.
  • Excellent with public speaking & presentations
  • Experience with information system security assessment and hardening with DISA STIGs, SCAP, and ACAS
  • Previous or current security clearance.
  • Experience successfully and effectively interacting with internal and external customers.
  • The ideal candidate possesses strong written and oral communications skills, technical knowledge, exemplary customer service skills, strong time management skills, the ability to find creative solutions to complex challenges, and the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • This position is an ONSITE role, located at our Chesapeake, VA site.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
