JOB PURPOSE

A Senior Cyber Security Services Officer is required to join an expanding Cyber Security team. This role, reporting directly to the Director of Security Engagement, involves using previous commercial management experience to implement industry standard processes. The focus is on growing a best in class and profitable customer portfolio for the security team's services.

Key tasks involve maximising service value, expanding business, and extending service reach for revenue growth. This includes identifying sales leads, pitching services, and building strong relationships with clients and suppliers. Additional support for the Director of Security Engagement includes identifying new business opportunities, creating strategies, project management and staying updated on industry trends.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Project management of security activities for key engagements
  • Generating service reports for clients and senior management
  • Reviewing and enhancing operational processes for improved performance and growth
  • Managing daily operations and collaborating with relevant departments for consistent bids
  • Developing pricing structures, models, and governance frameworks
  • Providing general commercial and pricing support on deals
  • The role ensures the profitability of services, maintains pricing consistency, and establishes a robust model and process for pricing
  • Responsible for product profitability reporting and CRM upkeep
  • Addressing pricing / service anomalies in customer proposals/bids
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Managing customer satisfaction in relation to the service catalogue
  • Tracking service utilisation.
  • Defining overall pricing models for products and services
  • Reviewing service and pricing models annually and conducting competitor analysis
  • Creating Price Books for each product, understanding cost breakdowns, and implementing Pricing Calculators

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated ability as a Commercial Manager
  • Line management experience
  • Project management experience
  • Demonstrated successful delivery of creating, assessing and improving pricing models, catalogues, contracts, bids and managing RFPs
  • Self-motivation and a keen eye for detail
  • Managing and supporting all aspects of commercial management
  • Ensuring project objectives align with commercial and legal aspects
  • Reporting and managing commercial issues
  • Managing procurement and commercial resource for successful activity delivery
  • Offering direction and instructions on commercial matters to various managers
  • Ensuring contractual obligations are adhered to
  • The candidate should be a great teammate with self-motivation and attention to detail.

  • Financial Management Skills: A good understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis
  • Change Management Skills: Proficiency in managing changes, including planning, communicating, and implementing alterations to information security policies and procedures
  • Negotiation Skills: Proficiency in negotiating contracts with vendors and partners to ensure favorable terms for the organisation
  • Project Management Skills: The ability to manage projects effectively, including setting timelines, managing resources, and tracking progress
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to analyse data and make informed decisions, contributing to the improvement of service quality
  • Regulatory Compliance Knowledge: A solid understanding of relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards related to information security, such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, etc
  • Time Management Skills: Prioritising tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment
  • Adaptability: An ability to stay agile and flexible, adjusting to changes in technology, security threats, and business requirements effectively
  • Technical Skills: A robust understanding of information technology, coupled with the capability to collaborate with technical teams for the implementation of security measures and solutions
  • Risk Management Skills: The ability to identify and assess risks related to information security and devise effective strategies to mitigate those risks
  • Problem-Solving Skills: The capability to analyse complex problems and develop creative solutions, enhancing overall efficiency
  • The candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organisation's information security, financial management, and overall operational efficiency. With a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement, the candidate will contribute to the success and growth of the security team’s services and the organisation as a whole

PREFERRED EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders to embed security controls
  • Strong communication and relationship leadership skills
  • Ability to operate effectively with minimal direction
  • Passion for service optimisation with a desire for continuous development
  • Awareness of Security Architecture, Security Operations, and Security Governance
  • Ability to interpret technical requirements for non-technical audiences

Overall, the candidate should balance technical expertise with interpersonal and leadership skills to enhance service quality, manage financials, and effectively handle resources and contracts in an information security team
