Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Security Specialist to join our team. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the security of our IT infrastructure and managing key security systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing VPN access, email security, firewalls, and endpoint security, with hands-on experience using tools such as F5 VPN, Intune, and Jamf.

Key Responsibilities:

1. F5 VPN Access Management:

Maintain and optimize the F5 VPN system for secure remote access.
Onboard and off-board suppliers to the system as required.
Provide technical support to end-users experiencing VPN access issues.
Continuously evaluate and improve the VPN system to meet security and performance standards.

2. Email Security Monitoring & Improvement:

Monitor email security systems to detect and mitigate potential threats.
Respond to user-reported email security incidents or concerns.
Work with stakeholders to enhance the overall email security infrastructure.

3. Firewall and Infrastructure Maintenance:

Implement and maintain firewall policies and configurations.
Collaborate with internal teams to apply fixes and updates in response to ongoing penetration testing.
Ensure the internal network infrastructure remains secure and up to date with best practices.

4. Endpoint Hardening using Intune and Jamf:

Manage and implement endpoint security policies using Intune (Windows) and Jamf (macOS).
Harden all endpoints to ensure they comply with security standards and policies.
Collaborate with the IT team to roll out updates and security patches to end-user devices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3-5 years of hands-on experience in IT security roles.
Proven experience in managing VPN, email security systems, firewalls, and endpoint management tools such as Intune and Jamf.
