We are seeking a seasoned Product Manager to join our growing Product team at Cycode, a leading Startup in Application Security. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of development practices, a passion for security, and a proven track record in product building within the tech industry. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of our code security products (SAST).

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Vision: Develop and clearly communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our code security (SAST) solutions, ensuring they align with both our company’s objectives and evolving market demands within our broader Application Security platform.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs.

Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback sessions to inform product direction and identify new opportunities.

Development Practices Integration: Leverage your deep understanding of software development practices to ensure that our security solutions are developer-friendly and integrate seamlessly into existing workflows.

Feature Prioritization: Prioritize features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market demand, and technical feasibility. Make data-driven decisions to optimize product outcomes.

Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery of product milestones and continuous improvement post-launch.

Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, messaging, and sales enablement materials.

Customer Advocacy: Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring their needs and pain points are addressed throughout the product development process.

Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and guide future development efforts.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges within the product development process and proactively develop mitigation strategies.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in a startup environment and a product-oriented role, with at least 2 years of experience as a developer.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of software development practices, application security principles, and DevSecOps methodologies.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, MS, etc.) is a plus.

Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and market research tools to make informed, data-driven decisions.

Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, asynchronous and synchronous, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving product initiatives from concept to launch.

Customer-Centric: Deep empathy for customer needs and the ability to translate those needs into compelling product features.

Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering solutions that meet both business and technical requirements. Not afraid of getting your hands dirty.

Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with Agile product management tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

Industry Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in the Application Security and Software Development space.

Customer Interaction: Experience engaging with highly technical enterprise customers and understanding their unique security challenges.

Global Perspective: Ability to manage products in a complex and highly competitive market.
