Job Summary

Understands and actively supports WEC Energy Group and utility strategies and business plans. Performs one ore more functions within the Compliance and Control group including: 

  • Process and systems controls services 
  • Sarbanes-Oxley / other compliance services for Business Effectiveness and Integration, Customer Service, operating units, stakeholder utilities and WEC Energy Group 
  • Develops and implements customer data protection solutions for Customer Service 
  • Maintains third-party vendor inventory and controls.

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs analytical work within the compliance and control group. Work may include, but is not limited to:
  • Coordinate Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance for Customer Service functions for all WEC Energy Group utilities. 
  • Support functions at utility operations levels (document/test) 
  • Design/review/publish/track exception reports (transactions/conditions outside of normal tolerances) 
  • Collaborate in the development and communication of SOX and other regulatory compliance objectives, to process owners and sub-process owners and establish/communicate these roles in the audit process. 
  • Review legitimacy of findings, approve remediation plan, and ensure implementation and adherence. 
  • Service Organization Controls (SOC) report review and compliance activities for Customer Service third party service providers. 
  • Conduct regulatory guidelines and comparative review and regulatory compliance reviews for all new products, services, procedures across utilities. 
  • Maintain vendor inventory and ensure compliance to risk assessments and ongoing training.
  • Coordinate customer data requests in accordance with Information Security Policy guidelines. Maintain Customer Relations privacy inventory. 
  • Develops and improves compliance and controls processes and methods. Perform miscellaneous audit and control functions at utility operational level. 
  • Employees at the Associate level of this job family will: 
  • Support key business directives through the development and maintenance of corporate policies and guideline and procedures. 
  • Coordinates the compliance training program which requires working closely with compliance training consultants, Human Resources, IT and Legal. Ensure optimal use of the Learning Management System for tracking of training completion. 
  • Responsible for identifying, compiling, and analyzing compliance data and related metrics which provide insight with respect to corporate compliance activities. Evaluate and provide analysis as to the effectiveness of compliance activities. Collaborate with compliance leaders to ensure appropriate compliance data and related metrics are available. 
  • Provide support on new or revised company compliance initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related discipline
  • 1+ years Experience performing compliance and control activity for one or more of the following: Customer Privacy initiatives, Vendor Management programs, Sarbanes-Oxley, Audit or Regulatory oversight or related compliance experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years experience with evaluating Service Organization Control (SOC) report and the governance and monitoring activities associated with outsourced providers.

Pay Range Minimum:  $64,949.56 

Pay Range Maximum:  $97,424.60 

 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
