Hybrid Working

We have a Hybrid approach to working here at Starling - our preference is that you're located within a commutable distance of our London, Cardiff or Manchester offices so that we're able to interact and collaborate in person.

About the role

We’re hiring for a number of Graduate Cyber Security Analysts to join our growing Cyber Security department. You’ll have the opportunity to work and develop skills across multiple areas of Cyber Security, such as Security Operations, Threat Intelligence, Assurance, and Identity & Access Management. You’ll receive on-the-job training, and join a cohort of wider graduates within the information and technology organisation. 

As a graduate working at Starling, we will help you learn and develop Information and Cyber Security skills and expertise by getting you to work on real world problems our amazing team are solving on a daily basis! Starling is a tech-led company where you will solve security challenges which could potentially affect millions of our customers whilst we build and run products that change the world for the better.

This is a permanent position, taking part in Starling Bank 12 month graduate scheme with a start date of 1st September 2025. 

What you’ll get to do?

• Gain knowledge and understanding of cyber security controls used to protect against a wide range of cyber threats.
• Learn how to understand, assess, and action cyber security events.
• Support and participate in embedding cyber security throughout the organisation.
• Unpick and contribute to cyber security advisory activities.
• Develop and understand how to apply cyber security risk management.
• Gain knowledge and understand Cyber Resilience across different domains.

Requirements

• You will need to have or be on track to achieve a degree (or equivalent) in Cyber Security or a STEM related subject area (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
• Natural curiosity and passion for how Cyber Security can solve business problems and have an interest in working on projects in the area. This will be assessed during the interview process
• Ready to take up this full time position from 1st September 2025

Interviewing is a two way process and we want you to have the time and opportunity to get to know us, as much as we are getting to know you! Our interviews are conversational and we want to get the best from you, so come with questions and be curious.

2. One-way Video Screen - we'll send you some questions for you to record your responses which we'll be looking at your fit for the team, interest in the role and Starling
3. If this stage is passed there will be a Video Interview with the team
4. Final Video Interview with some senior members of the team
