Job Description:
Job Family Definition:
Develop and overseeing the organization's cyber risk strategy. This includes designing a risk management framework, conducting risk assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading incident response efforts
Management Level Definition:
Leads a large or broad risk management function/department within a multifaceted organization. Responsible for operational success, strategic alignment, and integration of risk management activities with other major organizational functions. Responsible for one or more recognized professional disciplines within risk management. Fully accountable for the success of the designated risk management function or department. Influences strategy and sets policy and direction related to risk management. Owns a significant number of measurable functional, operational, and strategic goals or priorities in risk mitigation. Assumes responsibility for the successful implementation of risk management business plans in a defined area of responsibility. Contributes to the overall strategic definition of the risk management function with strong business acumen. Acts as a key advisor to executive management in influencing the strategic direction of the business from a risk perspective. Typically reports to VP.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Risk Leadership: Lead the organization's risk management function, ensuring alignment with business objectives and overall strategy.
Risk Assessment and Analysis: Oversee the identification, assessment, and prioritization of risks across all business units, including operational, financial, strategic, and compliance risks.
Common Controls Framework Implementation: Develop and implement a common controls framework to standardize risk controls and ensure consistency and efficiency across the organization.
Risk Mitigation Strategies: Design and implement effective risk mitigation strategies and controls to minimize the organization's exposure to identified risks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to integrate risk management practices into business processes and decision-making.
Risk Monitoring and Reporting: Establish systems for continuous monitoring of risk exposure and provide regular reports to senior management and the board on risk status and emerging issues.
Regulatory Compliance Oversight: Ensure that all risk management activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Incident Response Oversight: Oversee the response to risk events and incidents, coordinating actions to mitigate impact and prevent recurrence.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and business partners, to communicate risk management practices and address concerns.
Risk Culture Promotion: Promote a culture of risk awareness and proactive management throughout the organization.
Resource Management: Manage the risk management budget and allocate resources effectively to support risk management initiatives.
Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about emerging risks and industry best practices to continuously enhance the organization's risk management capabilities.
Education and Experience Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Risk Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in cybersecurity or information security roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks including ICF, SCF or similar, risk assessment methodologies, and best practices.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with experience presenting to executive leadership.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions

If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay.
