IronMountain Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified Subject Matter Expert to serve as ISSO for the Strategic Integrated Kinetic Effects (STRIKE) Project Office.  This Subject Matter Expert will provide support Mid-Range Capability and other elements in the STRIKE portfolio, which includes efforts in hypersonics. This position is the STRIKE Project Office on Redstone Arsenal. This position will require 30-50% travel.

Job Responsibilities:   

Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to provide information assurance and cybersecurity support to the Army’s Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office by providing support to the RCCTO’s information technology and information assurance (IT/IA) project staff, engineers, and customers. 
  • Serves as an Information Assurance (IT) support to the Organizational ISSM, in the management and administration of authorization and accreditation (A&A) package processing. This position requires an understanding of IA to tactical networks, systems, security practices, and the application of IA concepts to rapid hardware/software prototype development.
  • Participates, as a team member, within the assessment of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the coordination, planning, analysis, development, implementation, and enhancement of information assurance programs, policies, procedures and tools.
  • Serves as the front-line team member to the organization’s Authorizing Official team ensuring the dissemination and adherence to IA policies, procedures, guidance, and training requirements. Enforces IA standards and procedures for all phases of hardware and software lifecycle management process and assists in developing solutions to complex problems.
  • Assist in the administrative management support of STRIKE by carrying out and responding in a timely manner to IT/IA tasks and requests; and manage internal office IT and IA work tasks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships between PEO MS, STRIKE program staff, and outside organizations to ensure proper communication, development and deployment of information assurance technologies, products, and systems.
  • Assist in preparing briefing materials, supporting engineering and development meetings, coordinating security testing events, scheduling and supporting teleconferences and video teleconferences and other administrative support tasks as directed. 
  • Serve as a cyber threat advisor for Army and Joint Weapons platforms.
  • Provide operational EW experience and expertise to weapon system design and engineering to enhance multi-domain effectiveness 

Education and General experience:  

  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 20 years’ experience; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Recent experience work across the DoD enterprise and industry partners with an in-depth understanding of ongoing Science and Technology efforts related to Cyberspace and Electronic Warfare Operations.
  • Experience briefing and interacting Army and DoD level Senior Leaders (Military and Civilian)
  • Top Secret Clearance (TS/ SCI)

Desired Skills: 

  • Possess a working knowledge of DOD acquisition policies and provisions on covered information systems.
  • Must have a minimum of all required training and certification to be IAM-I compliant per DoDD 8570.01-M.
  • Must have knowledge of the Army’s Risk Management Framework (RMF) Accreditation Process
  • Be able to assist with the composition of RMF Accreditation Packages, to include System Security Plans, Security Control Determinations, CIA Risk Assessments, Network and Dataflow diagrams, hardware and software lists, Plan of Action and Milestone (POAMs), and Continuous Monitoring Strategies
  • Be able to analyze and provide Cybersecurity recommendations for a variety of systems within the STRIKE Project Office.
  • Have a general knowledge of a variety of Cybersecurity functions, including but not limited to include - Ports, Protocols, and Service Management (PPSM), Approved Products List Integrating Tracking System (APLITS), Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM), USM/SOPs, Cybersecurity Fielding Plans, Configuration Management Plans Security, Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Computer Hardware Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS), New Commercial IT HW and SW Requirements (HQDA Goal 1 Waiver) , TEMPEST, Clinger-Cohen Act Compliance, Army Portfolio Management System (APMS), and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).
  • Have familiarization with the Army’s Host Based Security System (HBSS) and/or Trellix (McAfee) Solidcore software suite is desired.
  • Previous experience working at Division, Theater, and Combatant Command level highly desired.
  • Understanding of similar and associated weapon systems in other services across DoD.

Security Clearance Requirements: 

  • Top Secret (TS/ SCI) Required
