Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

We are seeking a dedicated Travel and Property Security Administrator to ensure the safety and security of our organization's personnel during domestic and international travel. This position will play a vital role in developing and implementing travel security policies, conducting risk assessments, and providing guidance to employees while also collaborating on property safety and health assessments.

This position is Part-time and remote.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement travel security policies and procedures to mitigate risks for domestic and international travel.
  • Conduct risk assessments for travel destinations and recommend actions to ensure safety.
  • Monitor travel advisories, geopolitical events, and security threats to assess and respond to risks.
  • Coordinate with external security agencies, including government authorities and private firms, for travel intelligence and support.
  • Deliver pre-travel security briefings covering local customs, cultural sensitivities, and emergency protocols.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with travellers to provide support and respond to emergencies, such as medical issues or natural disasters.
  • Collaborate with HR, Legal, and other departments to ensure compliance with travel security policies.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews to refine travel security protocols.
  • Stay updated on emerging travel security trends, threats, and technologies to recommend continuous improvements.
  • Work with property managers to identify health and safety legal issues impacting properties.
  • Produce detailed reports and action plans to address and resolve identified property safety concerns.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in security management, international relations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in security management, with a focus on travel security preferred.
  • Strong understanding of geopolitical issues, risk assessment methodologies, and security principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant travel security platforms.
  • Certification in travel security management (e.g., Certified Travel Security Professional) is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot effectively across various departments.
  • Flexibility in work hours and willingness to travel as required.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure in high-stress situations.
  • Strong collaboration and team coordination skills.
