EY-Cyber Security-TDR Staff
As part of our EY-cyber security team, who shall work as SOC analyst who will assist clients in detecting and responding to security incidents with support of their SIEM and security solutions.
The opportunity
We’re looking for Security Analyst with knowledge/experience in SIEM and EDR/XDR solutions and incident handling. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering.
Your key responsibilities
• Monitoring of events & alerts from a multitude of technologies to identify and respond to potential security threats.
• Provide both strategic analysis and near real-time auditing, analysing, investigating, reporting, remediation, coordinating and tracking of security-related activities for customers.
• Responsible for proactively and iteratively searching across client infrastructure to discover threats through client data available to the SOC.
• Document security alert analysis, steps taken to investigate, and resolution steps performed.
• Ensure that SLAs of client accounts with regards to support tickets and escalation of cases are met.
• Escalate complex investigation and work with higher-level analysts or incident response teams.
• Stay up to date on information technology trends, security standards, threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
Skills and attributes for success
• Customer Service oriented - Meets commitments to customers; Seeks feedback from customers to identify improvement opportunities.
• Good knowledge of SIEM technologies and platforms such as Splunk, Sentinel, LogScale, ArcSight, Sumo Logic, LogRhythm, InsightIDR, FortiSIEM, Exabeam, etc. from an analyst’s point of view.
• Good knowledge of EDR and XDR technologies and platforms such as CrowdStrike, XSIAM, MS Defender, Tanium, Trellix, Cybereason.
• Sound knowledge of the email format and how to analyse them.
• Ability to work with minimal levels of supervision or oversight.
• Good knowledge in Security Monitoring and Cyber Incident Response.
• Knowledge on Cyber Kill Chain Process and MITRE Attack
• Understanding on common threat vectors (malware, email, and website analysis at a basic level).
To qualify for the role, you must have
• B. Tech./ B.E. with sound technical skills
• Ability to work in 24x7 shifts
• Strong command on verbal and written English language.
• Demonstrate both technical acumen and critical thinking abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Minimum 2 years of Hands-on experience of operating/implementing SIEM solutions.
• Certification in any of the SIEM platforms
• Knowledge of RegEx, Perl scripting and SQL query language.
• Certification – Sec+, CySA+, Cisco CyberOps, CEH, GSEC, SSCP
