As a Pre-Sales Consultant, you will lead and support solution design, bid reviews, and project implementations in the cybersecurity domain. This role serves as a Cybersecurity Evangelist, possessing a comprehensive understanding of the security landscape, architectural models, and cutting-edge solutions. The Pre-Sales Consultant will engage with both C-level stakeholders and technical teams to deliver impactful solutions and act as a trusted advisor.
This role requires expertise across multiple cybersecurity domains, technical acumen, and strong communication skills to drive success in both pre-sales and delivery.
What will you do?
Pre-Sales Support and Solution Design
- Assist in solution and bid reviews to ensure completeness, feasibility, and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead initial solution design, project planning, and costing for client proposals.
- Undertake complex requirements gathering, client workshops, and presentations.
- Design sophisticated security solutions integrating application, network, cloud ICT, and OT components.
- Provide expertise and guidance in strategic and mega tenders as the Solution Manager and single point of contact for cybersecurity solutions.
Client Engagement and Consulting
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients through regular communication, on-site meetings, and executive briefings.
- Act as a trusted advisor to help clients integrate cybersecurity capabilities into their environments.
- Engage with C-level executives to identify and address domain-specific cybersecurity needs.
- Deliver proactive technical guidance to clients to drive cybersecurity operational excellence.
- Influence clients' cybersecurity postures by contributing to in-flight projects and leading innovation initiatives.
Project Implementation and Delivery
- Act as a Delivery Architect during cybersecurity project implementations, leading teams in deployment and initial operations.
- Generate high-quality deliverables, including requirements documents, high-level and detailed designs, and deployment plans.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as Infrastructure and Applications, to provide security architecture advisory services during tender bids.
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead and mentor the Security Architect (SA) and Delivery Architect (DA) teams for NCS Enterprise sectors.
- Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams to drive best practices and innovative solutions.
Expertise Development and Industry Awareness
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity technologies, regulatory frameworks, and industry trends.
- Support ongoing client requirements related to regulatory compliance (e.g., IM8, AIAS, CSA Security by Design, MAS TRM).
- Participate in trade shows and conferences as a senior technical resource
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Extensive experience (8+ years) as a Security Architect
- Hands-on experience in two or more cybersecurity domains, such as:
- Application Security
- Database Security
- Regulatory Compliance
- Endpoint Security
- Incident Response and Managed Security Services
- Infrastructure and Network Security
- Familiarity with cloud-based solutions (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and best practices for security, resilience, and recovery.
- Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, PKI, and authentication/authorization frameworks.
- Experience implementing SIEM/SOAR tools and conducting database configurations and basic queries.
- Knowledge of WAN, IoT/Video, Kubernetes, and containerized applications is advantageous.
- Previous experience with government tenders and Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC).
- Experience working with security practitioners, network, application, and database operations personnel.
- Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to lead diverse teams in a matrix organization and mentor/coach junior staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CISA, CISM, CISSP, GCIA) are highly desirable.
- Experience working in client-serving/project-based models.
