Position Summary
Guggenheim Securities Information Management (“GSIM”) is seeking an experienced Operational Resilience Manger to join its Information Security Governance team.
This person is responsible for ensuring the organization's ability to continue operations during and after disruptions. This role involves overseeing the implementation and strengthening of the company's operational resilience framework, including disaster recovery (DR), business continuity planning (BCP), and incident management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, regulatory compliance, and crisis management.
Essential Job Functions
- Disaster Recovery (DR): Develop, implement, and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure the organization's IT infrastructure and data are protected and can be quickly restored in the event of a disruption. Coordinate regular DR testing and updates to ensure effectiveness.
- Business Continuity Planning (BCP): Oversee the development and maintenance of business continuity plans across all business units. Ensure plans are regularly updated, tested, and communicated to relevant stakeholders. Coordinate BCP training and awareness programs.
- Incident Management: Lead the incident response team in identifying, assessing, and responding to operational disruptions. Develop and implement incident management procedures, including communication protocols and escalation processes. Conduct post-incident reviews to identify lessons learned and improve future response efforts.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks to the organization's operations. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks and enhance overall resilience. Monitor and report on risk management activities and outcomes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards related to operational resilience, DR, BCP, and incident management. Stay informed about emerging trends and regulatory changes and adapt the program accordingly.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain productive relationships with internal business partners, customers, and external vendors. Communicate project impacts and expectations to other business areas. Ensure on-time delivery of milestones and major activities by interacting with vendors.
- Reporting and Documentation: Compile and present regular reports on the status of the operational resilience program, including DR, BCP, and incident management activities. Maintain comprehensive documentation of all plans, procedures, and testing results.

- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to operational resilience.
- Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Experience with risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team player attitude.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CBCP, MBCI, CISSP) are a plus.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operational resilience, disaster recovery, business continuity planning, or a related field.
Work Location
- Currently, this role is expected to be in the New York or Chicago office Tuesday - Thursday.
Salary
- Annual base salary between $150,000 and $175,000.
- The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
