As a Sr Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in various aspects of Incident Response, security processes and security tool effectiveness. You will be involved developing and executing security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to prevent internal or external attacks on company systems. This role requires a deep understanding of cyber security principles, technologies, and best practices.

Sabre Cyber Threat Management team within the Risk and Security organization is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Sr Cyber Security Engineer. At Sabre, we’re passionate about building secure software within a secure environment and developing automation that solve problems. We're searching for a new team member with fresh ideas, a unique viewpoint and interest in security engineering and incident response to craft the best possible solutions and processes to keep our environment and systems secure for our customers.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze security events and incidents to detect and respond to potential threats
  • Develop and implement incident response policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems
  • Develop detection capabilities, processes and automation to meet security policies, procedures, standards, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Conduct incident investigations and forensic analysis to identify the root cause and mitigate security risks.
  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems.
  • Conduct threat assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security measures are integrated into all aspects of the organization's operations and to implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Provide guidance and support to junior security engineers and other team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber security trends, threats, and technologies.
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and best practices
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and take corrective actions to improve stability and performance of security tools/systems.


Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber security incident response or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of incident response frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
  • Experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, SOAR, and endpoint protection.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Scripting skills and experience
  • Knowledge of cloud services and cloud technologies
  • Strong attitude towards teamwork, knowledge sharing and documentation

Nice to Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with the following security products - Palo suite, Exabeam, Google SCC
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
  • Experience with cloud security and DevSecOps practices.
