- Deploy and supervise advanced first aid attendants
- Deploy and supervise qualified fallers
- Direct initial attack and sustained attack operations
- Direct mop up and patrol activities
- Ensure daily briefings and readiness
- Lead wildfire suppression crews
- Maintain accountability for equipment and supplies
- Maintain and care for firefighting equipment
- Maintain crew safety culture
- Manage conflict and team cohesion
- Manage crew fatigue and hydration
- Manage hazard trees
- Monitor fireline hazards and conditions
- Oversee burning operations
- Oversee hand guard construction
- Oversee hose lays
- Oversee power saw operations
- Oversee pump operations
- Oversee sustained suppression efforts
- Provide operational reporting and documentation
- Represent company with clients and public
- Supervise crews on fireline and in camp
- Support training and leadership development
- Track equipment and labor for cost recovery
