This position is responsible to perform vendor security assessments, analyze risks and processes exceptions to security standards and PEEP requests.The growing regulatory and audit oversight of these critical activities is only increasing and continued execution of these tasks is very important.

Responsibilities:

  • Vulnerability Management.
  • Vulnerability Scans and Audit for container security.
  • Engaging or integrating vendor solution.
  • Purchasing and integrating 3rd party tools/products.
  • Building strong, trustworthy partnerships and value-added relationships with technology and business stakeholders.
  • Performing various kinds of security assessments to identify coding and deployment vulnerabilities specifically in container security. This includes security interviews, security requirements analysis, and occasional hands on security testing.
  • Directing and recommending tactical security technology decisions including go/no-go decisions on security technology changes.
  • Providing input to the regular reporting to executive management on the state of information and technology compliance.
  • Authoring position papers on security technology tactical and strategic direction, researching emerging trends in security technology and providing input to the technical portion of the CISO three-year strategic plan in collaboration with the Technical Architecture team.
  • Must be comfortable explaining security concepts to non-technical people over the phone.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to effectively manage and deliver on multiple, concurrent initiatives.
  • Proven experience assessing security postures of container security and infrastructure. Working knowledge of container security tools. (Prisma, Aqua, Wiz, etc).
  • Extensive information security technology/engineering experience in financial services, brokerage or other highly-regulated industry of 1-2 years.
  • Familiarity with Network/Servers/Endpoint.
  • Intelligent, articulate and persuasive goal-oriented individual who can serve as an effective member of the CISO’s team and who is able to communicate security-related concepts to a highly technical and business oriented leaders; in writing and verbally.
  • Must be able to apply basic risk analysis techniques to conduct a technical audit of information systems.
  • Must be able to show experience in taking business, user, and non-technical requirements and be able to recognize the need and layer information security into and over the requirements.
  • Capable of understanding end user requirements from security perspective.
  • Ability to set/identify security requirement objectives and develop design strategy and follow through to evidence of requirements being met.
  • Proven track record of successful, hands-on accomplishments.
  • Extensive, hands-on, working knowledge of state of market information security and risk management technologies.
  • Experience with external service provider management.
  • Highly flexible, adaptable and enthusiastic team member and team leader.
  • Able to build trustworthy and lasting relationships in a complex company environment with matrix reporting relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cloud Certification in AWS Administration or Azure Administration.
  • Security certifications, CISSP, SANS GNSA, or CISA, CEH.
  • ITIL certifications.
  • Thought-leadership recognition in the field of information security technology.
