Your Opportunity
BDO Canada's Cybersecurity consulting team is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Cloud Security Engineering team. You will be collaborating with clients and internal team members to ensure project goals and objectives are met, delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with clients and internal team members to meet project goals and objectives.
Deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
Perform reviews of cloud security architectures/implementations and provide risk-based recommendations.
Educate and communicate cloud security requirements, policies, standards, and procedures to business/internal stakeholders as it relates to projects and strategic initiatives.
Assess and implement industry-leading security solutions and practices around cyber risks and Cloud security for clients.
Assist in the identification of automation opportunities both internally and for clients.
Develop comprehensive and accurate reports and presentations for both technical and executive audiences.
Ability to collaborate with clients and internal team members to ensure project goals and objectives are clearly defined and achievable.
Participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process.
Work with multiple cloud service providers including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform, and various security vendors to understand their solution offerings and advise clients on appropriate technologies and architectures, based on their needs.

Your experience and education
3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in cloud security, including identity and access management, logging and monitoring, data security and cloud reference architecture
College Diploma or University Degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, or Computer Science
Advanced certification in one or more cloud service platforms
Knowledge of application security concepts and overall application design and architecture
Familiarity with security assessment and audit standards for the cloud – Cloud Security Alliance CCM, CIS, NIST Cloud Reference Architecture
Knowledge of security threats in the cloud and how to remediate and implement controls
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and\or Google Cloud
Ability to work within team both in-person and virtually
Ability to explain complex technical concepts, work with cross-functional teams, and provide clear documentation
Ability to prepare comprehensive proposals and reports to convey technical information to various stakeholders
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience with cloud security assessment tools and methodologies
Proficiency in Microsoft Information Protection and Governance and using Microsoft Purview
Knowledge of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and implementation. Experience with fundamental concepts such as data classification, labeling, and encryption
Proficiency in Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD)
Experience implementing and managing Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions
Knowledge of Conditional Access policies and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Understanding of Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and Just-in-Time (JIT) access
Expertise in Microsoft Intune and Mobile Device Management (MDM)
Knowledge of device enrollment, configuration, and policy management
Understanding of app protection policies and mobile application management
