The Opportunity
The DISB Security Analyst is responsible for supporting audit and assurance tasks related to the Ongoing Suitability Assessments (OSA) and Annual Security Reviews – Cyber (ASR) for the Defence Industry Security Branch (DISB). These audits encompass all four Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) security domains, ensuring that DISP members consistently meet Defence security obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute DISB OSAs and ASRs by following documented Standard Operating Procedures, strictly adhering to Defence policies and EY best practices.
- Utilise electronic case management systems for efficient processing.
- Provide expert advice on audit outcomes while effectively managing complex cases.
- Perform comprehensive Quality Assurance checks on DISB files to ensure compliance with standard procedures.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage caseloads effectively.
Skills, knowledge and experiences - required
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interactions with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously examine data and accurately identify potential security risks.
- Quality Assurance: Commitment to maintaining high standards in DISB processes and documentation, ensuring adherence to all relevant standards and procedures.
- Analytical Skills: Possess an analytical mindset to interpret data, assess cases, and provide accurate advice outcomes.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficient with the MS Office suite and experienced in navigating various systems.
Additional skills, knowledge and experiences - desirable but not essential
- Currently hold or be willing to obtain a Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance.
- Certificate IV in Cyber Security.
- Previous experience in DISB processing.
- Experience with electronic case management systems.
