Job description and duties:-Design and implement computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks.-Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning.-Leads the design of network and computer security measures.-Charged with research and recommendations affecting network and data communications hardware and software.-Evaluate, develop, and deliver technical input to the systems engineering process.-Develop technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation.-Interact with the Government regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.-Oversee the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.-Work with other program personnel such as engineers, developers, and testers.-Communicate with Government and other mission partners.-Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.-Analyze complex information and independently takes appropriate actions to resolve problems.-Provide engineering guidance to technical staff and establishes effective working relationships with other Government agencies and mission partners.-Deliver briefings on complex topics to groups, which may include high-level decision makers.-Work complex research projects as senior contributors and as part of an integrated research team.-Design and deliver solution.
Location: Columbia, MD Qualifications:​​​​​​-Possess an Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and Counterintelligence Polygraph-Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience-Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in System Engineering or related discipline-Exposure to Cloud/AWS-Knowledge of DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF)-Able to build systems from the ground up – network architecture/systems engineering-Active CISSP, CASP+CE, CSSLP certification (minimum DoD 8570 IASAE Level II Certification)
